Saitech was established in 1997 as the only Specialized Cytology Laboratory in Trinidad and Tobago serving family practioners, gynaecologists,  Non-Governmental Organization, a  Medical centre in Grenada, and other local medical laboratories.  With a 30% average growth for the past five years, Saitech is now a major provider of Cytology services in Trinidad and Tobago.

Saitech  is now offers a full Medical Laboratory Service. From its base in San Fernando, Saitech operates a pickup and delivery service to our clients, and a shipping service to our consultants with a remarkable turnaround time of less than one week from date of pickup for cytology and next day results for the majority of our blood works.

Testing and consultation service

Saitech recognizes that pathologists as well as other laboratory physicians and scientists associated with the delivery of laboratory services play a key role in supporting the needs of institutional clients.  We believe that the medical and scientific team forms the backbone of laboratory services delivery .  This collective clinical expertise of Saitech will be made available to all our clients.

Saitech will provide further assurance that every analysis and test result is backed by solid medical and scientific support. Our team will also be available to provide consultation regarding screening,  result interpretation, follow-up procedures and new methodologies. 

Cytology Laboratory Information System (CLIS) 

Saitech launched it’s Cytology Laboratory Information  System (CLIS) in 2006. All patients’ demographics are entered into CLIS database to provide  computer generated reports, monthly and annual statistics. A list of the patients are generated for each batch of pap smears received. This list accompanies reports and the invoices.  

Result Distribution 

Saitech is currently capable of providing patient results in many different modes and formats, all designed to meet the needs of the client.  Typically hard copy reports, facsimilie transmission and email, satisfy our Trinidad and Tobago client requirements. Saitech is capable of providing all three methods of result transmission.
